Who we are

Founded in 1992, EE&MC-European Economic & Marketing Consultants is a economic consulting firm specialising in the application of sophisticated economic analyses in EU and national competition law proceedings. EE&MC provides economic analyses and expert testimonies in all competition matters.

We strongly believe in an interdisciplinary approach: our economic analyses are fully integrated in the legal appraisal. This two-tier approach corresponds to the modern "more economics based approach" or "European School of Thought" of the EU Commission and has led to the successful participation of our EE&MC-team in a broad range of competition proceedings, either at the European or national level. EE&MC-experts can be can be reached via E-Mail at teampool@ee-mc.com and/or by telephone +49-228-926776-0.

As experienced competition economists, we offer state-of-the-art economic expertise. Our areas of proficiency include the economic assessment of horizontal and vertical agreements under Article 101 (1) TFEU including efficiency calculations under Article 101 (3) TFEU, merger assessments, market definitions including the application of the Hypothetical Monopolist Test by means of Conjoint Measurement - and effects based analyses especially in dominant cases.

Additionally, EE&MC offers tailored strategic consulting: Our services have increased significantly the value of our clients' businesses. In regulatory economics and state-aid cases, our knowledge and experiences are outstanding. Special areas of expertise include the postal, energy, media and telecommunications sectors.

Managing partner Professor Dr. Dr. Hildebrand, an economist and lawyer herself, is the author of several publications on competition including her book "The Role of Economic Analysis in EC Competition Rules – The European School" (third edition).

All EE&MC-economists are trained in EU competition law and industrial organization. Some economists hold several academic degrees from different universities throughout Europe. Each EE&MC-economist has a special area of expertise. Depending on the assignment, a team with the most qualified experts is put together to provide the best services available. Depending on the case, industry experts support the EE&MC-team. EE&MC is strictly goal-oriented and works effectively.
