The goal of the Antitrust Writing Awards is to promote antitrust scholarship and competition advocacy by recognising and awarding the best antitrust academic and business articles of the past year.
This year's Antitrust Writing Awards ceremony took place on April 10, 2018 in Washington DC. It was organised by Concurrences Review and George Washington University Competition Law Center, with the support of Professor William Kovacic.
The 7th edition of the Antitrust Writing Awards included a gala dinner, during which outstanding antitrust contributions from the past year were honoured. Professor Hildebrand, as a member of the Academic Steering Committee, was part of the jury and, therefore, granted to present the award for the best academic article in the category "Economics". The award went to Daniel P. O'Brien and Keith Waehrer for their article „The Competitive Effects of Common Ownership: We Know Less than We Think“ published in the Antitrust Law Journal.
