Economist / Economic Consultant / Competition Economist (m/f/d)

EE&MC is currently looking for economists with an interest in competitive economics topics and empirical knowledge for the Düsseldorf location.

EE&MC is an economic consulting company with a European focus. We have been successfully offering sophisticated economic analyses, advice and expert reports on antitrust law issues for more than three decades. EE&MC's working environment is characterized by significant projects for the largest European companies. EE&MC consultants work specifically at the interface between economics and law and transfer knowledge from science and teaching into practice. EE&MC is particularly characterized by the transfer of new academic developments.

In general, teamwork is central at EE&MC. Decentralized work is still possible for up to four days per month if the projects are suitable for it. We offer a trainee program for colleagues who are starting out in their careers.

• Analysis of markets and prices;
• Literature search and evaluation;  
• Data research and preparation;
• Preparation of presentations; 
• Econometric analyses;
• Research and elaboration on topics such as market power, market definition, market analysis, etc.;
• Participation in the design of market simulation models;
• Participation in national and European antitrust proceedings before competition authorities and courts;
• Participation in the preparation of German and English expert reports.

• Successfully completed Master's degree in business administration or economics;
• Solid theoretical knowledge;
• Excellent knowledge of Excel;
• Very confident use of MS-Office and, if applicable, statistical programmes;
• Successfully completed internships are an advantage; 
• Excellent knowledge of German and English;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Interest in new topics and in competition.
