EE&MC supports international arbitration proceedings with its many years of experience and an interdisciplinary approach that closely integrates economic, legal and industry-specific aspects. We assist parties, arbitral tribunals and legal advisers in the economic preparation and assessment of complex disputes and have extensive litigation experience in proceedings before leading international arbitration institutions, including the ICC or UNCITRAL.
The focus is always on the precise economic analysis of the issues relevant to the decision. This includes the assessment and quantification of complex damages, the review of price and index adjustment clauses, economic market and trend analyses to classify long-term developments, the transaction quantification of individual business transactions, and construction economics and time-related analyses for schedule and delay issues.
EE&MC regularly works in teams with law firms, technical experts and internal experts of the parties in international arbitration proceedings. Our role is to structure the economic basis of the dispute in a transparent manner, quantify it in a methodologically verifiable way and embed it in the procedural processes. On this basis, we produce analyses and expert opinions that stand up to the scrutiny of international arbitration tribunals and can serve as a basis for decision-making.
