Fordham Conference New York

EE&MC supports the Fordham Antitrust Conference 2025 in New York as a sponsor

EE&MC was again a co-sponsor of this year’s Fordham Competition Law Institute Annual Conference on International Antitrust Law and Policy, which took place from 17 to 19 September 2025 at Fordham University School of Law in New York City.

This long-standing event is one of the world’s most renowned forums for international discussion on competition law and antitrust economics. EE&MC has been an active partner and supporter of the Fordham Antitrust Conference for over two decades, promoting transatlantic dialogue.

Professor Dr. Dr. Doris Hildebrand and Dr. Dr. Pascal Hildebrand contributed to this high-level forum by various expert discussions with US colleagues from academia, government agencies and private practice. Both emphasise the high value of the conference as a forum for critical reflection on the economic foundations of competition law and for the development of common standards between Europe and the United States.

A highlight of this year's conference was the panel ‘A Conversation with Enforcers,’ moderated by Eleanor Fox (NYU School of Law) and Elizabeth Avery. Discussions with Reiko Aoki (Japan Fair Trade Commission), Andrea Marván Saltiel (COFECE Mexico; Chair of the ICN), Andreas Mundt (Federal Cartel Office) and Saverio Valentino (Italian Competition Authority) focused on new international coordination approaches and the role of economic evidence in competition supervision.

With its long-standing support at the Fordham Conference, EE&MC underscores its commitment to a scientifically sound and internationally coordinated competition approach. The close ties with the US professional community promote continuous exchange on empirical methods in antitrust law thereby fostering in particular new approaches towards digital markets.
